Aloha Stinky Part 2

For our yearly trip, Stink and I went to the Big Island.  She was participated in the Lavaman Triathalon as part of the Team In Training for a cure for leukemia.  After much training, hard work, and fundraising, Stink swam, biked, and ran with Stink (me) routing her on.
During our time there, we were able to tour Kona, shop, and take pictures of the beautiful scenery and... each other of course!  During one of our excursions for a black sand beach, we found this small beach with a small friend waiting for us...
One day Stink had training in the morning.  I made a personal trip to the Greenwell Coffee Farm in Kona to attend a coffee tour and purchase fresh, authentic Kona coffee.  Mmm mmm good!  At the end, I don't know what came over me but I volunteered to hold a chameleon that lives in one of their trees.  Here's another little creature for me to take a picture with...

After the triathalon, we attended the victory party and took advantage of the beautiful sunset.

We tried to watch a sunrise together, instead we took pictures on a hammock.  It's a personal symbol for both of us.

We also saw whales from the beach!  It was an amazing trip.  It brought us even closer (if that's even possible) and made us very excited for next year's trip.

Alan and Aimee... plus 4

We have a new addition to the family.  Meet Kona, our new pit puppy.  Her mama stopped feeding the litter because their teeth are so sharp, so that's why we took her home at 5 weeks of age.  Born Feb. 14, 2009.  I named her after Kona coffee- big, bold, black, strong.  Fred and Kaya took some warming up to the idea of a new addition.  Rasta was more than happy to cuddle up to her.

LB is back!

I got my dirtbike back after 3 1/2 years.  LB (short for Lucille Ball cuz she's red) has been truly missed.  This past weekend, I taught Alan how to ride... up and down the street.  He then taught Donal how to ride.  Both did well and we plan on getting a bike for the boys.  I know... oh no!

It's about darn time!

After a lifetime of waiting (about 7 months)... Alan finally got a truck!  Whoo hoo!  It's a 2007 Chevy Colorado.  And I enjoy taking it out on my days off.
